Organic and playful flowers & styling
Our flowers are grown and processed with care for the environment. This means that we grow organically and that no (new) plastic or foam products are used in the processing of the bouquets.
We offer fresh bouquets, flowers by bucket and a à la carte menu with ready-made flower decorations for small and intimate weddings and events.
Suitable for our climate
We also only work with flowers that are suitable for our climate and seasons. This is also referred to as ‘natural growth‘. Despite the technical term, this is our normal standard approach, an approach that we don’t have to think about.
Natural quirks
Naturally grown flowers all have their own character. They each dance and swing in their own way. This ensures the fun, playful and organic look you find in my bouquets and work.
My flower garden
All flowers are grown on the farm. Seeds are sown with great patience and watered until they are large enough to plant in the organic soil. Where they can grow and flourish.
Carefully coordinate
I carefully compose my bouquets and work based on the different textures, scents & colors of the flowers. I carefully coordinate everything where each flower compliments the other so you get a beautiful bouquet that brings happiness to you every time you see or smell it.

The impact of importing flowers
Did you know...
France imports about 87% of their flowers?
Most of these flowers are commercially mass-produced with pesticides and chemical fertilizers and then shipped around the world via airplanes or refrigerated trucks. And that’s a shame because locally there is so much possible for growing flowers.
By buying local flowers you are choosing to reduce carbon emissions and you support a local business; the humans behind it. And because we at YoLa also grow organically, you also contribute to healthy and fertile soil and food for pollinators. A win-win for all.
The nitty-gritty
How to take care of your bouquet
If you want to keep your bouquets longer, here are a few tips:
- Use a vase so clean you could drink from it.
- Before putting your flowers in water, be sure to cut the bottom of the stems at an angle, so that there is more surface for water absorption.
- Add this to the water for the flowers (for 1L of water):
1 teaspoon of sugar (to nourish the flowers),
2 teaspoons of lemon juice (to reduce the pH of the water)
and possibly 1 teaspoon of bleach (against bacteria). If you prefer not to use bleach, change the water regularly. - Make sure your bouquet is out of direct sunlight.
- Do not put your bouquet near fruits, as they produce ethylene, a chemical that causes flowers to wilt more quickly.
Our flowers
Most flowers you find in stores are already one to two weeks old and they can still last a long time after buying them. This is because they are treated with chemicals.
In my flower farm I don’t use chemicals in the fields nor the water/vases. Natural cut flowers have a lifespan of 3 to 7 days, depending on the variety.
