Organic fruits, vegetables & herbs
The farm has been growing on organic soil since 1987. We grow more than 20 different types of crops throughout the year.
In January 2020 we took over the company from Edgar Brinkhoff, Youp’s father. We are the second generation in the family to continue the family business.
A different place every year
All our crops are given a new plot of land to grow every year. This is also known as crop rotation. This way the ground remains nicely balanced.
Throughout the seasons you will find all kinds of delicious green goodies. Taste is very important to us. We also like to try new crop varieties and taste will tell if it makes the cut or not.
Letting soil rest
A few months a year we don’t use the soil for production, but let the soil rest and feed it with green manure. In our case, a mixture of field beans and grains. We usually sow this in the fall. And in the spring, the mixture is mixed into soil.
We like to work locally and with respect for our land.
To fertilize our soil we use natural manure from chickens & cows. All the manure comes from businesses nearby.
Working with the seasons
Every season we look at which green goodies we can best produce depending on the climate at that time.
We try to have a wide range of vegetables, fruits & herbs which we work on all year round. We also experiment with new vegetables and different variants to increase our diversity, learn and taste new things.
Our green goodies are grown on land and in cold greenhouses.
